NSW Aboriginal Languages Gathering 2025

18 – 20 February 2025
Wonnarua Country, Hunter Valley

The NSW Aboriginal Languages Gathering 2025 took place over 3 days in February on Wonnarua Country in the Hunter Valley. The event brought together over 220 Aboriginal Language practitioners and leaders, to connect, learn and share knowledge, resources and tools, and to celebrate the revitalisation of our Languages.

The Gathering theme, ‘Let our voices fly’ was about connecting with one another, speaking our Languages and working collaboratively to ensure a strong future for our Languages. The three day program filled with keynote presentations, panels, break out sessions, performances, a corroboree and a Gala night, highlighted the diverse and innovative approaches to Language revitalisation work happening across NSW, lead by Aboriginal Communities.
